Special Interest Days

There are normally two Special Interest Days held each year in spring and autumn. The day usually starts at 10am (but it can be earlier) with coffee/tea/biscuits and finishes about 3.30pm. A light lunch with wine is normally included. There are two lectures before lunch. The afternoon session could be another lecture or a ‘road show’ where members bring items for appraisal.

The current venue is the recently refurbished Goldwater Lodge, Wishbone Way, Goldsworth Park, Woking, GU21 3RT run by the Goldsworth Park Community Association. We use a large ground floor room overlooking the lake. There is ample free parking. The entrance is on the lake side of the building.

An alternative venue is the Dianthus Building on the same site. Please refer to the venue information for a particular event.

Booking usually starts two months prior to the event at the Thursday lecture. Bookings will be taken from 9.30 am. Please note that full payment needs to be made in person on a booking day to secure a place on a Special Interest Day. Currently a cheque payable to MDFAS or cash will be accepted, but unfortunately we cannot accept credit cards.

The venue is shown on the Google map. You can zoom in and out by using the control keys or get directions by clicking on the red marker
