Special Interest Days

There are normally three Special Interest Days held each year in spring, summer and autumn. The day usually starts at 10am (but it can be earlier) with coffee/tea/biscuits and finishes about 3.30pm. A light lunch with wine is normally included. There are two lectures before lunch. The afternoon session could be another lecture or a ‘road show’ where members bring items for appraisal.

Venue

Special Interest Days for 2026 will be held at Gordon's School, West End, GU24 9PT.

Booking a Special Interest Day

Booking normally opens on the day of the lecture about two months before the event, either in person or via email to mayfordsid01@gmail.com. Using the latter you will receive confirmation by email of place(s) available and how to pay. Preferred payment is by Bank Transfer. Details will be given in the email. Your booking is confirmed when payment is received and your ticket emailed to you.

Alternatively you can pay by cash or cheque at the lecture when your ticket will be provided.

See information on a specific SID for cost details.
